Eons ago, I composed an album of instrumental music for various primordial personified concepts from Greek mythology. It was meant as a sort of modern-day symphony or classical song cycle, except with many electronic elements instead of traditional orchestration.

It was created with a shitty quality midi program that was the first music software I'd ever used.

Recently, I unearthed these compositions in a file I had sent to myself somewhere in the mists of the past. I had to find an online converter to alchemize them from their midi files to something actually listenable, and despite the super low-fi quality of the fake instruments, I was actually pleased with the compositions themselves.

This isn't mixed the way I'd like it. In fact, it really isn't mixed whatsoever because I had 0 knowledge of mixing back then. I don't have any stems to do some post-mixing. None of these instruments truly sound how I'd want them to sound - they are rough sketches in a notebook that I mailed to myself and forgot about.

This is merely a primordial demo of something that honestly may never come to be. I am thinking that I'd like to create a new version of this, perhaps relearning some of these and reworking them or perhaps completely redoing all of them, with lyrics related to the concepts. But, for now, I wanted to share this in all its imperfect and raw glory.

"Hypnos" contains a variation on Brahm's "Wiegenlied" (Brahm's Lullaby).
